Messer Chups, Morro Bay, and the hottest sandwich this side of Nashville

The Siren

We played to a packed house and then watched Chups mesmerize the crowd with their vampire gothic surf thing.

This was our first time playing The Siren (shout out to our sub drummer, Chris DaSilva, for filling in for Holland and killing it). We were stoked on the great sound and welcoming staff.

Morro Bay is a pretty sweet little town as well, but we also liked the fact that our drive home made it easy to hit up Hot Birds in Watsonville (IYKYK), where the Nashville hot chicken sandwiches come loaded with cole slaw, pickles, and “bird sauce,” and the ghost pepper-spiked Hot Hot level will singe your esophagus. Pro tip: grab a fistful of napkins and kill the pain with a cold beer or three.
