Tahoe Tripping

Rocking The Pastime Club
In mid-September, we road tripped with some friends up to Truckee for a couple of shows, combined with some mountain biking and a mandatory pilgrimage to Donny’s favorite 7-11 by the skatepark.
This was our first time playing Truckee’s dopest dive bar, the 140-year-old Pastime Club, followed by a private gig at a mountaintop home owned by one of Holland’s friends (where he and Gary enjoyed staying in a guest casita, while Donny got to crash in a lumpy bed in Glenshire because he knows the wrong people).
DJ Batwing
Friday night at Pastime kicked off with a set from Donny, aka DJ Batwing. He got the party started spinning hip hop, reggaeton, and trap bangers, and then Dead Kampers came on and annihilated the joint.
Batwing closed out the night, but not before attracting the attention of two separate bachelorette parties off the street. Things escalated to Coyote Ugly levels, with brides-to-be twerking on the bar and grinding on the resident stripper pole.
Raging Anniversary Party
On Saturday evening we played a sunset rager at Holland’s friends’ house, an insane property overlooking Martis Valley and Truckee.
On Sunday, Holland and Gary headed home, while Donny and friends headed to Downieville to ride. After mobbing some downhill, it was time to throw chairs in the river and drink some Modelos before firing up the communal grill at Downieville River Inn. Good times and good people.
Keep checking our Shows page for our spring Tahoe tour including Pastime Club. Catch DJ Batwing at the Pastime on New Year’s Eve. The sonic assault starts at 9pm.
